Inspired by ketupat, “Random” is a console table made of pine wood and mild steel flat bar. Ketupat is a traditional food for Malays. It is a quite significant and famous Malaysia identity. The random rectangular shapes are the transformation of the pattern of ketupat which make more fun and interesting. The name “Random” of this console table comes from these random rectangular pattern. There are dark tone lines connecting the rectangles which represent the weaving skill to make a ketupat and the unity of Malaysian. The simple drawers make “Random” to be more functional.
